The food is incredible . I had Thanksgiving on a plate. Real mashed potatoes , fresh string beans , sliced turkey breast , not turkey roll, cornbread dressing with fantastic gravy and not to mention great cranberry sauce. Steve our server was awesome . 5 Star all the way. Forgot to mention the blueberry lemon bread pudding .

This is a great diner. The menu is diverse enough to give you options for many returning trips, while not being overwhelming. I found the food to be really great. The staff are all friendly, comfortably chatty and personable. Overall if I lived in the area I would consider this a great "safe diner," as in one where the food is always great and the service will always be good.
Metro Diner is such a gem! The service here is top-notch. Steven took care of us and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. The food is absolutely delicious, with generous portions and lots of variety. I love that you can get breakfast all day but they also have burgers to hearty comfort food options like shrimp and grits that are just as amazing. If you’re looking for a place with friendly service, great food, and a menu that has something for everyone, Metro Diner is a must-visit!
This was our first time eating inside and we had a lovely time. There was about a 10 minute wait time when we arrived on a Saturday morning. Food came out quickly and was delicious as always. We never had anything we didn’t like from here. Biscuits and gravy are amazing, grits are some of the best around, and they offer specialty coffees based on the season. Highly recommend!
Our 1st time here and on a Saturday. You know it's gonna be packed. Took about 15mins to get seated but the food came out fast WE LOVED IT ❤️ 😍 💖 ❣️ 💕 Now we have another favorite spot. The staf was amazing, so kind, attentive, and genuinely NICE. We stayed and chatted with Hailie and Chasity for like 20mins after closing tab. This is a MUST DO!!!....PERIOD.
The quality of the food and the great staff,makes this place a wonderful destination for the whole family! The best place to have breakfast or lunch in the charlotte area!
Super delicious breakfast at the bar watching chefs wip out the orders. Service was excellent and friendly. Restaurant was really busy but we got our plates in a reasonable time frame.
We had a crazy group of relatives trying to meet up after a wedding and they totally tried to accommodate us with seating. The food was amazing! Service was fantastic and I can't wait to go back!
Metro Diner has FAST become my go-to breakfast spot! The food is always fresh, piping hot, and delicious. Great service, generous portions, and consistently good every time. Get there early everyone else knows how good it is too!
